My favorite things
1. My children. Duh!
2. Being at home. I hate leaving my house...
3. The blogs I read. It's like watching a TV show. You truly become to love the people as if you are their best friends and you talk to them everyday.
4. Daydreaming. I love dreaming about the future. What I want to be when I "grow up." Where I will live. What car I will have. What my kids will be like(I'm hoping I'm still their best friend! hehe),
5. Anything and everything baby. I look at baby stuff ALL the time. pictures of babies, pictures of pregnant girls, cribs, nursery, all that good stuff. I know it is not time for me to have another baby yet, but I love looking at all the stuff.
And just for a freebie...One thing I don't like so much is going to the dentist. I had to get some work done today and they numbed me up. I could still feel it on the bottom and it hurt pretty badly! The top half though is STILL numb and extremely bugging me! Oh well, best of both worlds I guess.

5 Things
5 things we are doing different this year for fall/winter.
1. We are making our own Halloween costumes.
2. We are going to cook/bake A LOT.
3. I plan on making homemade gifts this year for the holidays. If I have the time and money, I might make homemade gift bags for my homemade gifts.
4. I plan on celebrating the winter soltice this year. Nothing extravagant, just a little small something with my kids. I think it is important to teach them about it.
5. My ultimate goal is to have a REAL Christmas tree!! I've never had one and always wanted one. So exciting!
I'm so happy about the new traditions I'm starting for my family. I love this time of year, it's so magical!

5 Things
1. My kids are both in school and I'm bored and depressed. I need a baby!
2. I'm planning on directing my career choice to a midwife. It's going to take longer than I anticipated.
3. I'm ready for autumn and Halloween and baking and cooking and CHRISTMAS TREES!
4. My new vehicle of choice is a van. Maybe I will get one next spring. Hehe
5. I no longer care what my friends in this right wing conservative state have to say about me. I will do what I believe is the right thing. So, stick that in your juice box and suck it!
Ok, there is some updates about meeee! And number 5 is not supposed to be mean so please do not take it that way. I love my conservative friends and family! Just please do not push your views on me, thank you. Have a nice day!!

My keyboard is broken so I cannot write as much I'd like to. I copy and pasted these "Words to Live By" from my new favorite blog http://www.ecomilf.com/ Check it out! I plan on remembering these words from day to day. Also I am making sure my girls will know and live by these words too (As best as they can at their age). ENJOY!
Express love and kindness in words and actions in dealing with others.
Express compassion in your actions toward those who are suffering physically or emotionally.
Anything that comes to you should be received as a gift from providence.
Do not hoard things that are not required.
Give away things to those who are in need.
Keep busy in selfless service.
Reduce your needs to a minimum.
Avoid reading books or participating in discussions that are contrary to your self-developement.
Do not indulge in any action that may cause harm to others in any form, indirectly or directly.
Look for good qualities in others, rather than looking for their shortcomings.
Do not get involved in unnecessary talks.
Do not expect praise for your good actions.
Anger, hate, and jealousy appear in the mind by comparing oneself with others. They should be replaced by love toward others.
Be humble and give respect to others.
Ask for forgiveness of any undesired actions, done knowingly or unknowingly.
Perform your duties toward your family, society and country with pure and selfless intent.
Do not let laziness or dullness control your mind.
Be honest to others as well as to yourself.
Be firm in your spiritual convictions

So, I haven't been on in almost 2 months. Oops...I've been busy. And by that I mean, I just haven't felt like writing. I have been pretty busy though. I started school in June and that same week I also picked up 2 extra shifts at work. They're night shifts, so I'm pretty effing tired all the time.
My quote for the summer "Pride over pity."
I was looking forward to being with my girls all day and teaching them new things. I just have to keep telling myself that this time away from them is temporary and soon enough I will be making a lot more money and I will be able to spend more time with them. I can't wait!!
I've also been struggling with my weight. I know people are probably rolling their eyes and thinking "Yeh, whatever. You are sooo tiny." Uh, I look like I'm 6 months pregnant. For real. I'm not exaggerating. It really depresses me. Sometimes I cry. I try so hard to eat healthy, but I looooove food!!! Ugh anyways...
I promise I will start to write and update my blog more often. And I promise they won't be as boring as this post was. Sorry.
Ok. Byyyyee!

My Mom
Today is Mother's Day and I had to work all day, 16 hours to be exact. I am sad I missed it. This past year my Mom and I have become very close. We talk about everything together and she has become one of my best friends. I can't go an hour without talking to her. She's the first person I call when I'm bored. On the nights she goes to dinner with her friends or goes to church or when she eats lunch with her friends I am very bored and I get a little upset that she is not just a phone call away. She still fixes me lunch when I work and buys me dinner. I am just now realizing how lucky I am to have her in my life. She is one of the most important people in my children's life and they can't go more than one day without seeing her. I used to always think about moving out of Ardmore someday, just to experience new things, but now I realize this is where I belong. I don't know what I would do without my mom. It would be very hard to move away from her. I don't understand how anyone does it. She has always been there for me when I needed her. So, this is for you, Mom! Happy Mother's Day! I love you!

5 Things
5 Things everyone can do to have more energy. I did not copy this from anywhere. I'm just making it up as I go along. Basically I need more energy so I really am just writing this for my benefit, but you can try out some of my ideas as well! Here lately I have just been feeling...bleeeehh!....I don't know why. I just feel lazy and sleepy all the time, I'm not enjoying it. So here is what I'm going to do to try to change that.
1. Eat healthy and drink a lot of water. I have already quit drinking soda. (It's been almost a week now!)
2. Whenever I feel like taking a nap or laying down I will get up and do something. Like, wash dishes, fold laundry, exercise, etc.
3. Go for walks. The weather is nice and it usually doesn't stay this way for very long in southern Oklahoma. So, I should take advantage of it and go outside with my kids.
4. Make love often. Who can't benefit from that?
5. Meditate. This doesn't necessarily mean go in a quiet room and sit Indian style for a certain amount of time. It just means everyone everyday should take out time in their day to do something to clear their mind. It could be praying, or driving around listening to music, or tell your kids you need a minute alone in the bathroom to take some deep breaths. Whatever it is, just do it.

Corners of My Home
Since we moved into this house one year ago I have slowly been making it a home. All the windows finally have curtains, all the walls have been painted, and slowly but surely we are doing everything we have been wanting to do with it. There is still a lot to do, but we are taking baby steps.
So, here is one of my projects that I have finally completed and I am pretty excited I got it done.
A chalkboard wall!
The kids love it and I am going to use it this summer for my "fake homeschooling." I don't get to home school for real, so the summer time is the only time I can pretend. I'm excited!
Also I hung a wire across the bottom of the shelf and decorated some clothespins to hang pictures from.
It's an awesome way to display artwork! I got the idea from my dear friend Erin. http://ourpandemoniumparadise.wordpress.com/2011/01/31/fancy-clothes-pins/
Read her blog!
Well that's it for today. Come visit again tomorrow!

Imagination
So I have been so totally inspired by all the blogs I read on a daily basis. I mean, these women are my heroes FOR REAL! So instead of just dreaming about having a life like theirs "someday" I have been trying my best with what I've got to make it real.
Someday I dream of a life with a garden, farm animals, very little to no TV and internet, home school, and being outside whenever we want despite the horrible Oklahoma weather. I feel like this would be the best life for me and my family to have. I know some people do not agree with this but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Little by little I have been trying to refocus my kids away from the TV and computer games and get them outside. They do play outside quite a bit, but they do not use their imagination very much. Yesterday I made a "fairy land" for them to play with and to use their imagination. After 5 mins my oldest daughter, Jadyn, was sitting in her room watching TV. I took her back outside and sat down with them and showed them how to play. So, they sat there about 10 mins and played then moved on to other things. As disappointed as I was, I realized I should not expect them to just jump right in to something they aren't used to. Humans are a creature of habit and once we get stuck in a routine, it's hard to change. I will continue to keep opening up my children's imagination everyday. Hopefully, sometime soon, they will understand.

This Morning...
* Jadyn is off to school.
* Layla is content, for this short moment.
* Freddie the cat is lounging peacefully.
* I am practicing self control and continuing on my diet.
It's a beautiful, "normal," boring morning. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

New and Improved
I'm baaack!!
I have decided to start a NEW blog so this is where you can find me! I'm still a little confused as to how all this works, but I will figure it out. I hope to write a blog everyday Mon-Fri, but I may skip a few days here and there.
So, check back here on Tues morning for my first official post!
